Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has written his name in the history books of the UEFA Champions League.
The Belgian became the first goalkeeper to make nine saves in a single Champions League final. Courtois was the difference between both teams as he was able to stop from finding the back of the net.
The performance of Courtois was the key reason why Real Madrid won the Champions League.
Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Allison Becker is the other player on this list with eight saves which was achieved in the final against Tottenham in 2019 while Manchester United’s Edwin van der Sar is third on the list with seven saves in the final against Barcelona in 20111.
